This China-based multinational computer technology corporation is known developing, manufacturing
and marketing highly advanced desktops and notebooks, workstations, servers, IT management
software, storage devices, storage drives and other related services. Now Lenovo Group Ltd. is
maintaining various offices and research centers in China, United States, Japan and Singapore. After the
company acquired the former IBM PC Company Division, Lenovo started marketing the ThinkPad line of
notebook PC’s. By the year 2009 Lenovo was hailed as the fourth largest vendor of personal computers
in the world. The company’s market are from small to medium size businesses and large companies,
including chain retailers, online sales, company-owned stores and major technology distributors and
vendors.

Lenovo ThinkPad X Series

Known as the most successful and well made corporate ultraportable, the Lenovo ThinkPad X series
are state of the art computer tablet that brings the same level of durability, advanced technology and
function that comes with the advantages of Windows 7 native touchscreen support. The ThinkPad X201
tablet in particular features an excellent multitouch display with very sturdy and durable design. The
downside of this device is that it comes with four cell battery pack that provides a very limited battery
life, smaller trackpad and it is bulkier compare to other tablet.

The ThinkPad X201 also features an Intel Core i5-520UM Dual Core Mobile Processor, 2GB PC3-8500
DDR3 Memory, 250GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive and 12.1” WXGA LED Backlit Touchscreen Display
with 2.0 Megapixel Webcam. When it comes to its connectivity, this device sports a three USB 2.0,
ExpressCard/54, Fingerprint Scanner, 5-in-1 Card Reader, gigabit Ethernet, 802.11a/g/n Wireless,
Wireless WAN and Bluetooth. This device is one of the first tablet versions of Lenovo.

The ThinkPad X200 tablet on the other hand was wrapped in the familiar matte-black ThinkPad cloak
and weighs a reasonable 3.6 pounds. Just like the series, the X200 is armed with cutting edge ThinkPad
keyboard to the lack of an onboard optical drive. It also comes with optional fingerprint reader which
has been moved to the screen bezel. Users can switch the screen orientation through the buttons on the
bezel and it can open onscreen menus to switch users or to lock the computer. Other buttons are used
for quick-access menu for tablet and pen settings, volume, and brightness and so on. The all new Simple
Tap feature is also included in this model by simply tapping on a movable red circle that is located at the
end of the screen or by simply tapping two fingers anywhere on the display.

Lenovo ThinkPad T400s

Featuring an advanced touchscreen abilities, the ThinkPad T400s is run by Microsoft 7 operating system.
It is built around Intel’s Centrino 2 platform and designed with Intel WiFi Link 5100/5300 and the Intel
G45 chipset which includes the Intel GMA X4500HD. The touch capability of this device is one of its
strongest points plus it comes with Lenovo’s new-generation panel and handy Simple Tap utility. This
feature enables user to easily control screen brightness, system volume and more. Lenovo’s Simple Tap
will be available for download at the end of October and will come preloaded by the end of 2009 on compatible ThinkPads.
